Screen networks are taking off in the UK’s busiest airports with Monarch Airlines, Dynamax’s partner DVI Displays and communication company, Outlook. The award winning airline is using PointofView NG to power a nationwide screen network that has recently expanded to incorporate a further major airport. After carrying over 3.2million scheduled passengers in 2006, Monarch Airlines was looking to capitalise on this growth and success by installing a screen network based over multiple sites to deliver important fl ight information to passengers, as well as broadcasting special fl ight and car hire service offers. In addition Monarch needed a solution which allowed individual installations to be remotely updated and co-ordinated with the company website. PointofView NG was ideal for this project as it allows a nationwide network to be controlled from one central point, with content being updated via Digital signage is taking centre stage at a prestigious and revamped theatre in Newcastle. The Northern Stage Theatre has installed a number of screens powered by Dynamax Technologies’ PointofView NG, to offer theatre goers a new dimension to their cultural experience. As part of a £9million refurbishment, developers required a high specifi cation screen network to enliven the theatre’s lobby, bars and restaurant, and also complement the new glass front which runs the full length of the building. Northern Stage approached Dynamax channel partner ProAudio Systems, which recommended the PointofView NG as a solution that would fulfi l the theatre’s demanding brief. As a content management system, PointOfView NG can support live broadcasts and show automatic messages to theatre-goers indicating when performances are about to start. Four 40 inch LCD screens were installed in the network, and are in daily operation as the theatre grows as a focal point of local theatre arts in Newcastle. the internet. The powerful system was installed at Monarch Airlines ticket desks at London Gatwick, Manchester and Birmingham airports with a new installation at Luton Airport.
